Best Character Dining In Magic Kingdom
There are several options for Character Dining in Magic Kingdom.
- Cinderella’s Royal Table
- Be Our Guest
- The Crystal Palace
I saved the best for last, in my opinion.
Cinderella’s Royal Table includes a visit from several princesses while you dine in Cinderella Castle. Be Our Guest will allow you to enjoy your meal in Beast’s Castle. Beast will walk through the dining room, but he does not visit the tables.
However, in The Crystal Palace, you dine in a beautiful dining room. The meal is buffet-style, so you have choices of what to eat. Your table will be visited by Tigger, Eeyore, and Winnie the Pooh. Piglet meets guests at the front of the restaurant.
Menu at Crystal Palace
This is the perfect breakfast buffet, with something to offer everyone. You will find fruit, grains, eggs, vegetables, and Mickey Waffles. On the morning we ate there, we found-

The Seating Process in Crystal Palace
When you are close to the time for your reservation, you and the other families who are close to their time to eat will gather at the front of the restaurant. There will be at least one; there were two when I ate there, a cast member who comes outside and calls families into the restaurant to eat. The name used to make the reservation will be the name by which your family is called.
Once your name is called, you and your family will be escorted to the table. Your server will come and ask for your drink order. Once the drink orders are established, he or she will also tell you some information about the meal. At this time, you will be free to go to the buffet.
Meeting Winnie the Pooh and Friends
Characters in the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom will work their way around the restaurant, greeting guests. The dining room is set up in a way that makes it easy for characters to reach each table and remember who they have visited. You won’t be rushed out of the restaurant. If you are concerned that you missed a character while at the buffet (happened to us), let your server know. They will remind the character you would love a visit from them.
The Payment Process at the Crystal Palace
Once you complete your meal and are ready to leave the restaurant, simply let your server know you are ready for your check. You will complete the payment process with your server. We left the tip on the card instead of cash on the table.
Visit Piglet
On the day we ate at Crystal Palace, Piglet was greeting guests at the front of the restaurant. We stood in the very short line until our turn to meet him. He had a handler with him who used our phone to take the family’s photo.
How much time should you commit to the experience?
Our server advised us that the process could take between 2.5 and 3 hours to see all the characters. This is going to depend on how long the characters take with each family. However, no family is required to meet every character. If you are through eating in an hour and have met the character you hoped for, you are free to pay your bill and leave.
What You Should Know About Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom is a popular dining experience, as are the other character dining experiences in Magic Kingdom. You will be able to make your reservation 60 days before your date to visit. I suggest taking advantage of this to give yourself the best opportunity to eat at your preferred time and date.
Some people love the food, others do not. I loved it. However, the atmosphere and people made the experience unforgettable.
This is not a one and done experience for me. I loved the beauty of the Victorian-style restaurant, the cast members, getting to watch other people interact with the characters, and the food. I plan to revisit this dining experience soon.
